Wesvoid / War-Torn : old-new SP campaigns

Wesvoid is an old incomplet campaign (from BfW 1.2).
I used to play it although it is uncompleted but I enjoyed it.
Now, I am planning to port it to BfW 1.16 and to prepare it to 1.17 (and I hope someone helps me to complete or refined it) .
War-Torn is a beautiful (but simple) campaign from BfW 1.0 created long ago and left unsorted, too. I ported it to 1.16 (but some macros might be deprecated for 1.17).
I used the same thread for both campaigns since I don't except much comments (and because I opened too many threads here)
To-do
Porting (done)
Cleaning old variables, images' paths, ideas for part 2, portraits, terrains graphics (I am not good on terrain_graphics wml. I wish someone give me a hand)

Just tried war torn but I think something is off. Bad as I may be at campaigns I don't think better players can manage to make their units travel faster... lost on turn 3! And the countdown wasn't even close to zero so maybe it's a bug.

Thank you. I will see what can I do. In fact, I didn't test them enough and I tried to reserve the original settings as much as possible (they are not a part of TDM project after all but a gift for old-addons fans like myself) so it can be a balancing issues here and there

Edit. I remember now. Yes, it was a bug I didn't notice it. If you are familiar with wml, just enter the .cfg and delete the variable of

If you can't or you don't want, just wait for the update.

I'm also a fan of old add-ons. The oldest I've ported was from 1.2 IIRC. 1.0, wow. : ) We could probably swap war stories about the crazy things that have changed in all those versions.

P.S. Just looked and 1.0 addons aren't visible on the website. Where did you find them? (If it's not a secret)

It s not a secret but I forget the full story. I remember a part the thread of "unported addons" by Zookeeper, à part from the .odf file of the umc addons and by digging in some para forums (partially the Italian and the Russian forums)

Do you think it is a good idea to port some other old campaigns (regardless of its state or its category)? I have many others (updated from 1.0 and 1.2 to 1.16) and I always use them as 'skeleton' pre-prepared to my different TDM Project's campaigns

Do you think it is a good idea to port some other old campaigns (regardless of its state or its category)? I have many others (updated from 1.0 and 1.2 to 1.16) and I always use them as 'skeleton' pre-prepared to my different TDM Project's campaigns
If you got any unique ones then you can try to port them. If it's the usual player as Loyalists fighting orcs and/or undead, then it's very common so would probably be not played. I have seen so many of loyalists campaign that I skip them these days regardless of quality.

Thank you. It seems that there is still many sites or pages that I don't know about.

Still seems to have a variable bug. When the first village is burned, my leader says the can only afford to lose 11 more villages. The scenario objectives (on hard) state that you lose when 8 or more villages are gone.

S3
The reinforcements I'm supposed to wait for never seem to arrive?

S4 feels very unfinished, no intro, no nothing. Just Yetis, a Necrophage, and a mostly empty map. <- that's where I'm ending/pausing my playthrough.

Btw, in each scenario there seem to be macros that are supposed to auto recall some units. Said macros don't work. :c
+ some units are not allowed to die, but they have a loyal marker instead of a silver crown.

Yup. I think you have right absolutely. War-Torn needs a huge rework even if that will make it a different campaign from what the original author did or intended to do
