Yeah, unless you are going from stable to dev, they should all work.

sorry just a noob

thanks
This is important to note, simply uninstalling Wesnoth is not always the answer. If you just do that and then download the new version you will be installing into your old Wesnoth file, which could potentially cause problems. Better to install to "Wesnoth2" or just delete the old file entirely if you don't care about your replays and saved games.

What kind of problems would uninstalling and reinstalling into that spot cause?

Where are the files that keep track of what units you've seen for the help file?

1) Multiple conflicting macro definitions for example

2) userdata/preferences

Ok, thanks a bunch mist.

I have a bunch of maps without the header that I copied over when I copied other stuff. When ever I'm looking through the map list and come across it the game major glitches and shuts down. How do I delete these maps? You'd figure it would be simple to find them, but maps/scenarios seem to be in different locations and some I simply can't seem to find.

Also additionally I saved some maps from saves that are no good and take up space.(becaue they aren't just maps, they have script too) These custom saves I can not seem to find at all.

No obvious automated way comes to mind. All maps should be in /maps dir of each addon, but thats more a good coding practice than a enforceable standart. You can search trough your wesnoth folder for files with header= inside and remove all that are not on that list, save that I've got no better idea.

These should be in userdata/saves folder, if you don't have them there I've got no clue where they might be.
