1.1.3 problem: disable "standing animation"?

Post by YbeRn00b »

Standing animation seem to use extreme system resources. Is there a easy way to disable standing animation?

No.
If you use svn you can rather easily revert the apropriate revisions though.
If you use windows I can send you a binary without them.

So that was turned back on for the 1.1.3 release? Turning it off did really make a difference.
Hope springs eternal.

:| So these 'standing animations' are responsible for the massive performance hit? I could be wrong but, as far as I am aware, not a single standing animation has been drawn. Thus why has performance-eating support been added for these things if there is nothing to support?

Are there a bunch of animations that were:
a) developed away the forums and
b) that I am yet to encounter in-game?

I'm confused.

Obviously it's not supposed to have a big performance hit. The Duelist has a waving feather.

These performance issues should be fixed now in svn.

Supreme! Will there be a "1.1.3a" compiled for windows with this fix in not so far future?
