apt-get removed Wesnoth from my system

Post by Glowing Fish »

I went to apt-get upgrade so I could get the new Wesnoth 0.8.9
But instead, apt-get seems to have removed Wesnoth from my system.
Now, when I try to install it, it gives me an error message

If I try to install from the wesnoth server, off of Sid, I get this message:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
wesnoth: Depends: libsdl-mixer1.2 (>= 1.2.6) but 1.2.5-9 is to be installed

And if I try to install from the main debian repository, the Sarge version, I get this:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
wesnoth: Depends: wesnoth-data (= 0.8.8-1) but 0.8.9-1 is to be installed

Is this a known issue? When will this be fixed?

It looks like the Debian version was updated Wednesday. I don't know about the Wesnoth version. Perhaps try apt-get update again?

Also, libsdl2-mixer1.2 1.2.6-1 is available on Sid since Sunday, so upgrading that may help you.

I have Debian Woody but haven't been using it for Wesnoth, so I may be speaking out of my rear end.

Note to forum site maintainer: I'm getting lots of "phpBB : Critical Error Could not connect to the database" today.
