[SOLVED] 1.8.0 does not start on Windows

Using Windows 7 when I try to start the game I get "The application was unable to start correctly (0x00000005)" All the 1.7 versions up to and including RC1 worked just fine... Did anyone else run into this?

EDIT> doing a clean reinstall of the game and restarting the system helped. Still I have no idea why first installation resulted in this.

I usually have the same problem, when trying to play the game after having used the computer for a while (having surfed the web or played another game)...

However I'm able to play all the time if I restart the computer and launch the game right after that.

I'm running the game on Windows XP and this happened with both version 1.6.5 and 1.8
