Is a stand alone windows executable version possible?
I have a buddy that wants to play wesnoth at work but can't install programs. Is it technically feasible to release a windows version of wesnoth that can be run in a directory, such as a flash drive, without being installed locally? I think I remember running wesnoth in the directory I compiled it in with a quick ./wesnoth on linux before, so I would think something like this would be possible on windows. This would allow people to download a .zip instead of the installer and play on computers they don't have installation rights on.
If that doesn't work I suppose I could always give my friend one of those linux distros that boots inside of windows and put wesnoth on that. However the stand alone executable would be a far more elegant solution suitable for average users.

Thanks for the link. After reading that I tried copying and pasting the wesnoth folder and running it after uninstalling. It works flawlessly.
