Help with editor. (resolved)

os:Vista home premium
bfw: 1.2.8
prob: I saved my wesnoth download into "my hp games" witch came with the comp but when you open it it runs like an application instead of a folder so my editor and original copy of wesnoth seem lost forever. the only was I can open it is to use the shortcut on the desktop.
Is there any way to save my wesnoth file or is it lost for good.

If it is where can I put the download next time so I don't have this problem?

try right clicking on shortcut > properties > and see where the shortcut points to, with that info you should be able to move and or find your lost folder
