Error compiling under SuSE Linux 10.1 (SDL_mixer)

Post by john.m.horn@gmail.com »

Hi, I repeated get the following error despite having obtained the SDL_mixer sources, compiled them and installed them as root with 'make install'.

configure: error: *** SDL_mixer has no OGG support! You need SDL_mixer with OGG support

I have specified --enable-music-ogg=yes when running ./configure in the SDL_mixer source directory.

In any event, since I'm going to be playing Wesnoth during lunch in a cube farm, I don't really need sound if it can be disabled, though I do have my 'Eton' headphones that I can use if I can get the sound working. At this point though, it is a show stopper because I can't even finish the ./configure step in wesnoth, much less compile it.

Anyone have any idea...?

I think that you should add SuSE repositories for installing all SDL packages from, for example yast. Now, I don't use SuSE then, I think that you should visit a SuSE forum for adding these RPMs repos
