The update doesn't work on steam? 1.19.11

It says, the version of wesnoth is 1.19.11, and it announce what is the update, but when I play the game, it still says 1.18.5

I'm excited for "The Deceiver’s Gambit" update, but when I open the game, it still “Delfador’s Memoirs”, maybe because it still says 1.18.5 i guess?

can anyone help me? how to update wesnoth on steam to the newest version?

You need to choose 1.19 in the Betas tab of the game's properties in your steam library.

Perhaps there needs to be a distinction or more clarity between the update posts on Steam - I imagine many players aren't necessarily familiar with the even/odd stable/development branch convention. I remain on stable on Steam but I also get update messages for development.
