Ending Crash

Post by 3Lorde »

Why the game crash when ending the campaign? Just said "The End" and just close the game.

That isn't all of the information we need, as listed in the thread I linked.

But it's the only I can give to you because the game just closes and doesn't show any error.

None of the information requires you to play a campaign to completion first. The build information can be gotten from the main menu, for example.

I have to mention that I saw a similar behavior, when I played through my campaign "Eine Geschichte zweier Brüder [Sprachausgabe]", which is an add-on! I know this isn't the correct forum for add-ons, but as this campaign is based on "A tale of two brothers" it might be a glitch that affect main-line campaigns too. With the end of the campaign, I've just saw the "The End" and the game closed. I found that ood, but I believed it was caused by a mistake in the main.cfg or the server.pbl.

I`m using windows 10 and 1.14.11. Will play through the original campaign know and tell you if this bug persists.

Edit: I played through the original campaign "A Tale of two Brothers" and the behavior is correct, the game will NOT end and the credits will be shown as intended.

Wesnoth crashing would always be a bug, whether or not the campaign is an add-on.

If the game crashes before the credits screen it's maybe caused by a too big credits screen because there are too many add-ons installed, iirc there was once such a bug.
Scenario with Robots SP scenario (1.11/1.12), allows you to build your units with components, PYR No preperation turn 1.12 mp-mod that allows you to select your units immideately after the game begins.

I played through the original campaign "A Tale of two Brothers" and the behavior is correct, the game will NOT end and the credits will be shown as intended. So it doesn't affect the mainline campaigns.

Edit: I tried to reproduce the bug today with my add-on, but failed.
