There are secret passages in HttT? I didn't know that. I never took the time to try every single hex.

every single hex
I found them all in the .cfg files instead when trying to look for other things. Well, actually I found one of them by hearing about it on the forum instead and then checking the .cfg.
It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.

Turn Limit is killing me
Or maybe just choosing HTTT on start wasn't so good idea :?:
Without turns limit it'll be much easier :P

Without turn limits I could have 10 Avengers before Blackwater Port :P

I think HttT is the main campaign and the more debugged. It is the campaign that everyone should play first.

The campaign I like the most is the Rise of Wesnoth, but I think it is more interesting and funny to play HttT first to know Wesnoth and time after play TRoW to know how Wesnoth was formed.

About the difficulty and the turns, there are two things you can do. You can be a stupid that cheats the savefiles (as I do sometimes ¬¬) or play in multiplayer until you learn to play faster.

When you learn to play a little you will find that the most interesting thing is to play fast. So you will get more gold for the next scenario, and you can spend it to play faster an to gain more gold ;)

Turns are necesary, because the AI loses when you resist a lot of time.

I agree that fast playing is better than playing without time limit but for me in some scenarios there's no time to make mistakes... If you can't decide fast what's the plan you can lose or run out of time :( And that can be a problem for beginners. Or people like me - those who prefers long-time strategy. ( Bliztkrieg sucks :P )

I have done mistakes, retires, and so. I found only a few scenarios where I had problems of time (I allways play on easy). I'm talking when I took a little experience with the game. When I started I always ran out of turns.

My advice is to play in Multiplayer (humans vs AI). Play some games, increasing the difficulty gradually (play with allys, gold, etc). You can also decrease gradually the number of turns for compleating a mp map.

If you have friends who wants to play a hotseat game, better.

Soon you will find that the campaign is not so difficult.
