can't see healing in multiplayer

Post by KK_r »

When I played a 1v1 game (I was hosting wesnoth version 0.8.8) I couldn't see when my units got healing at beginning of my turn. My opponent could it though...

After turning on accelerated time (or whatever it's called) and turning off AI animation I had the same problem in single player HttT. At first I thought they weren't healing, but after writing down HP values for untouchable units between turns I realized they were healing. (I had 2 level 1 Shamans and several units to heal, so they were only healing a couple HPs per turn.)

So probably one of those Preferences->Display checkboxes will reenable the "heal" animation. I do miss the animation, but I tire of watching 30 AI units plod around between turns.

Edit: I'm on 0.8.8 on WinXPsp2 running in fullscreen 1024x768.

And who's to care
If I grow my hair to the sky
I'll take a wish and a prayer
Cross my fingers
Cause I always get by

Um... don't you realize that 1) he may be using a different system than you, in which case behavior might be different, 2) he would probably verify the bug before posting, and 3) your post makes you look like an idiot, and a jerk besides?

I think I forgot to mention that i doesn't happen in all games but when this behavior starts in one it continues until the end of the game.

can you reproduce it?
do you think it's by scenario or by session?
does it only happen or start happening with a certain type of healing - villages, druids, resting, etc
Hope springs eternal.

Really useful would be a savegame where this was happening.

I havn't yet found a way to reproduce it. It did not start with druids or resting (simply because I moved all my units and there were only loyalists in the game). It has happend a couple of times but now it occured to me that I might have loaded an old game (different games though) those times, maybe has something to do with the loading. I will investigate further next time I play.
