[SOLVED] Error in Wesnoth loading map

Post by khelben1979 »

I'm having a issue with Wesnoth 1.9.6 dev version (Debian Lenny), english version, where it spits out an error message. The game was saved with Wesnoth 1.9.5 dev version, but even with that version there have been the same problem when loading some other saved games and from what I can see it looks like one or more of the maps which gets delivered as an addon is the source of this problem.

The question is, how do I solve this? Should I just uninstall the map from within the addon section of the game?

Also, I cannot find any saved games any more with Wesnoth 1.9.6, I searched in here: /usr/local/share/wesnoth/data and could only find a bunch of catalogs, it was so much better and easier with older versions of Wesnoth and I don't understand why it had to be like this? :( So I cannot upload the saved game file, at the present.

Thanks for any help with this! Wesnoth is a good game and so far I have enjoyed it a lot!

Well, remove that Four_Seasons_of_Year add-on, as apparently the problem originates from there.

Removing the map file fixed it!

Looks like that add-on will only work on windows systems, as it assumes case-insensitive filenames.
