Scarier ghosts.
"the_shadow has entered the game"
Comments are definitely desired. I've realized, just as neorice did, that ghosts are hard to draw. My first revision of this guy kinda looked a lot like fmuñoz's at which point I had to stop, think about what I was doing, and try something completely different.
I'm thinking this guy could use some more black in the core of his, um, "body", such as he has one.
Do note, and I should probably do an on-grass pic, that the alphaing for this guy will be interesting - certain things like his face will be nearly opaque, other parts will fade into the background.

His claws seem to be in a classic "begging for food" stance. This looks odd to me.
The main problem I have with this new graphic is that other than the claws and eyes, there is no 'structure' so to speak. If this is supposed to be scarier than the original(which I grant is a little cartoony, but good none-the-less) than something that doesn't look like an inkblot with claws and eyes is a must.

I think they look better than the old ones, but I agree with the claws are 'begging" comment. This is just an idea I'm throwing out, but maybe if the eyes on the first ghost were glowing red (as if they were burning) it might look a little more scary? Good job overall though.\Darth Fool wrote:His claws seem to be in a classic "begging for food" stance. This looks odd to me.

Hero of Allacrost, a 2D open source RPG. Check it out at http://www.allacrost.org.
It's good enough
It's good enough that if it goes into mainline I'll change my AV for the first time ever

Note to forum users: You are in a maze of twisty little passages

as in http://www.wesnoth.org/forum/viewtopic. ... c&start=15
I really need to get back to making a possesion ability work...
Ok - here's another version, with much more defined edges.
If anyone can guess what graphic I traced for the shape, you win... something.
It's a tough call, here. Ghosts are supposed to be somewhat transparent, but - this guy is completely invisible during the night. If I alpha him heavily, though, he will look indistinct.
I've included a "broad daylight" grass pic.

It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.
