Wesnoth 1.6.3 disconnect on loading save game

i installes version 1.6.3 under Linux and can't reload save game, cuz game will be scrash with the message "client disconnected".

this happen in X OS, Linux. not tested in windows.

Kindly stop calling error messages crashes. A crash is an unexpected termination of a program.

You get immediately disconnected when starting/loading a world of conquest or SX game is what you meant to say, yes?

try to reproduce this and tell me if this is not a crash or bug and dont forget to make a look in the back trace in the console.

however this is a bug, and an unexpected disconnection of a client is a scrash of this modular funktion.

I have the same issue reloading multiplayer games in 1.6.3 on ubuntu 9.04

I have not yet tried with single player.

It's a regression in a network function so you won't have an issue with single player. It's fixed now and will be in 1.6.4.

its strange that this heavy bug dont let dev thinking over take off the version 1.6.3 from main download site...

The developers will make such calls as they are needed, idle speculation is unnecessary.
Mainline Maintainer: AOI, DM, NR, TB and THoT.

Clearly indicated by the massive amount of complaints we got and supported by the fact that we just released 1.6.3 for fun and not to fix other bugs or the like...

If you would like to help in the release process or otherwise you're welcome to. Comments like that don't help however.
