I did once, I used debug to make a 10,000 hp adept then set a berserker on him to see what would happen, the adept lost a few hundred or so health but I don't think this counts
Or you could just play SX :P

An Ulfserker against a Lavinian Siege Archer who is standing in mountains (=60% defense) actually only has an ~50% CTK. I know the Siege Archer isn't a standard unit (it's in the IE), but still. >_>

No, the only way is for the zerker to use a ranged berserk ability but that was removed from sx for being overpowered.
I found the love, now I'm looking for my sandwich.

The zerk laughs if he's attacking a unit that does not have a melee attack. No matter if he kills them or not I think.

Who says the reason for the laugh is for a guaranteed kill? It's simply "Hey I'm doing a berserk attack on you, and you have no way to retaliate!!!"

...how powerful is this Lavinian Siege Archer though? The ulfserker will get to strike at it 120 times, and at 40% defense this is an average of 48 hits. To have a 50% chance of survival, it'd have to have > 48 hp, and at least 60% resistance to blade, or > 96 hp and at least 30% resistance to blade.

What kind of an "archer" has either of those?

I can't hold up to this being the right answer but if you look at the picture of the archer you will see that he is holding a shield. This would give him a great advantage for defence. However, the trade off is that he does not have a melee attack. I think it balances out nicely. Anyway they sort of are in two differnet games. In Orbivm i've only ever seen rage which is a shorter version of Beserk.

its actually a stationary shield called a pavise. used to shelter behind to reload/ take cover from incomming attacks. Hence the Steadfast of the unit

The first time I heard the ulfserker laugh, it scared the hell out of me. It was late at night, I had no sound going, and the volume was (for some reason) turned up.

*it is a calm, peaceful night...*
*the floorboards creak...*
*the wind rustles*
*the mouse clicks*
*the chair squeaks*
MWAHAHAHA!

*the player nearly dies of heart failure*

I love it now, but is scared me for the first little while. :D

Oh, I think I misspoke; it isn't the Siege Archer who has a 50% chance to survive (he has like a 10% chance, IIRC), but rather the Saggitarius, who is the level 3 version (the Siege Archer is level 2). I think it's perfectly reasonable for a defense-oriented level 3 archer to have 48 HP, 30% resist to blade, and steadfast.

Yeah, still in Italy, and still on Wesbreak, but the semester hasn't really started up in earnest yet so I've ended up getting on the forums once or twice and posting (though I haven't gone through and read every post, just glanced at a few interesting topics like this one - there are 15 pages of unread posts accumulated  ).

I probably won't end up reading whatever responses are made to this thread, but you never know. :P
