We should really start a thread to collect good reference sides, concept art, and references from other artists.

Passed and hour or so doodling based on one of Cobweb-stock's images.

The perspective's off on the mace head, and i think that the shaft might be a little long. The back of the helm's kinda weird. But outside of those minor issues, i'm reasonably pleased.

The face doesn't really look like a face under his helmet.

Firstly his eyes don't have any colour, but the main thing that annoys me is the way the right part of the helmet and the nose are aligned.

It might need shifting (our) left a bit. And the eyes will have colour when i'm done. This is just basic flats so that the shapes stand out.

Also possible. Nuts to it, face is going. I'll find someplace else to use it, and fill in the gaps with the chainmail colour. I'll redraw another face facing the right direction if necessary.

I think the main problem with the face is the nose - in that position, the helmet should be crushing it.

The rest of the face looks fine to me.

The bridge needs to come over a little, maybe. it's an awkward perspective. I'll se what i can do with it.

This may be a dumb question, but why is he using a kite shield instead of a tower shield like the sprite?
