I am a linux newbie, sorry. I have compiled the program and made install. How do I run the program?

If you're in a console,

wesnoth
should start it up. That's assuming that /usr/local/ is in your path.

Depending upon your desktop environment, you can add custom menu entries. KDE does this best, but both GNOME and XFCE and almost any other WM or DE will have ways of doing this too.

You can also create a desktop shortcut. KDE and GNOME both provide ways to do it; it's nicer than a menu entry.
