That's because your not a cat, or an anime cat/person for that matter.
More precise it's called neko. Well, that's cat, but it's also used for such things, especially catpersons (nekogirls are very popular among some people 8) ) ... oh well, nevermind

Btw if we really need such an ungly smile, may this one is better ... or should I say worse ?

I'm a little surprised we don't have Wes-icons. Sure, the sprites are often too small to show expression, but I think you could work with them. Throw some sunglasses on a Troll for 8) or make Lis'ar blush for  and I'm sure people would know what's going on.

Heh, I am sure this would be a funny thing if it was well done :)

For example, I own a forum with a tight community where just about everyone has their own Doom-icon (from that little of yourself while playing Doom):

 = http://www.infantryzone.net/forum/image ... prised.gif

8) = http://www.infantryzone.net/forum/image ... s/cool.gif

one guy is black http://www.infantryzone.net/forum/image ... s/carl.gif

one guy is religious http://www.infantryzone.net/forum/image ... deraj2.gif

one guy is racist http://www.infantryzone.net/forum/image ... /akuma.gif

one guy likes sword martial arts (me, actually) http://www.infantryzone.net/forum/image ... /kenoh.gif

one guy is Irish http://www.infantryzone.net/forum/images/smiles/olt.gif

Find a few good sprite faces and, with the art skills I've seen thrown around here, you could have a very unique addition to the forum.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't realize our server didn't allow hotlinking. Unfortunately you'll have to copy and paste those, or you can go here: http://www.infantryzone.net/forum/posti ... de=smilies

Neither can I.

This reminds me something: why not have an additional phpBB style based on the current Wesnoth widgets (used in-game), instead of the plain subsilver theme?

If you right-click on each of them idividually and say "view image", they appear. I guess it's some sort of anti-hotlinking protection...
