Wow nice one :)

ijuric: it is not a hammer in fact, it is a firestick (or firestaff) (ie a flamethrower).
He's using his dagger currently on this frame so his firestick is packed-up on his back.

IMO, dwarf looks great, but he's holding hammer in strange way. I made some minor changes you (or others) might like.

P.S.
I am aware that part hammer handle that is below right hand can not be noticed easily, and I hope someone can fix it. Maybe rizing right hand for one or two pixels could solve the problem.
Welcome to Wesnoth enjoy your stay. I know wha you mean with the hammer I'll tak a look at it.

Ijuric is right. He holds indead a hammer and in the other a miniaturized thunderstick. The pleasures of spriting in this size and artistical freedom. I quess I should change it.

Ha ok, i was completly mistaken, thought the stick was a dagger  So the other thing would be the strange flamming device in my mind.

Currently the unit i'm using has :
- a 7-2 dagger attack (melee, blade) (a little weaker than the 6-3 thunderguard dagger)
- a quite powerful 6-6 firestick attack (ranged, fire)

I had in mind the flamethrower as a rather large device.
I don't mind to change the melee weapon, provided it stays a weak one.

Indeed, a thunderstick should be long, you don't want to throw fire so close to beard. :) I look forward to seeing new version.

After short search, I have found Flamethrower description:
Noyga wrote: It is said that the Dwarven Flamethrowers have strange staves of wood and iron, similar to those of the Thunderguards. But instead of making a thunderous noise shooting a projectile, their weapon generates continous tongues of flames.
In modification I made, hammerhead (It was hammer. My bad, as I said :) ) looks like it is made of stone. Iron reflects light in different way (check dagger, also for good iron hammer check dwarven runemaster). Also, description says that thunderstick is similar to one Thunderguards have, which is not case in the picture. Also, if it's simmilar to Thunderguars', dwarf would have to use it with two hands. Wayfarer, how many hands are needed to use thunderstick you made? Anyway, something should be done coz description and image must match. Changing description is easier, but final decision is on era manager.

I was writing post at the same time Noyga posted his so I didn't see it that's why it looks confused. Now you can disregard some parts of my previous post.
So it is hammer, and what Noyga called dagger is thunderstick. Good :)

I made 2 falcon picts. They were made bassed on existing one, which needed wing adjustment. I'd like some feedback if I should continue working on them or you have some other falcons ready by now. Current picts are missing shadows. If someone can explain me how to make shadows in GIMP (what effects, if any to use to speed the process), I'll draw them. In next version I'll also fix wing shading.

- The wings' base seem too large, perhaps just because we don't see well its outlines.
- The beak don't seem curved enough, so it doesn't look like a bird of prey.
- The levelup (it is a level 1 since the basic falcon is level 0) looks a bit oversaturated
Other than that, it's not bad.

Some edits from a native English speaker:
Dwarvish Flamethrower wrote:It is said that the Dwarven Flamethrowers have strange staves of wood and iron, similar to those of the Thunderguards. But instead of making a thunderous noise shooting a projectile, their weapon generates continous tongues of flames.
generates continuous tongues of flames __> generates a continuous tongue of flame

Steamcopter (lvl 2) wrote:With the help of some kind of steam genies, those gyrocopters are able move faster and carry more bombs.
With the aid of steam genies, Steamcopters are able to move faster and carry more bombs than Gyrocopters.

Some Dwarves use strange vehicles that can move fast without a horse. It is said that these great wheeled vehicles are powered by invisible steam genies, thus they are called "Steamwheels'.
Thunderwheel (lvl 2) wrote:With the help of one more steam genie, those noisy vehicules are able to move faster than horses.
vehicules __> vehicles
Warwheel (lvl 3) wrote:Sometimes dwarves use those lightning-fast and more armored vehicules to make larges breaches by charging in the battlefield.
Warwheels are faster and more heavily armored than Steamwheels, and can breach enemy lines with their fearsome charge.

*snip*
* some stats changes :
- Aragwaith Flagbearer line :
Currently, loose firststrike, gain a new rally ability (not yet working, gives resistance bonus to the neighbours units), toned down the sword damages a bit, -1 spear damage for the Flagbearer and +2 spear damage for the Captain. I might add some HP boost to those units.
- Dark Elves : Noble now cost 17 and Wizard 19
- Northerners : Goblin Rouser modifications : +5 HP +1 damage
- Sidhes : Spirits are now less cold resistant and Veiledblades/Shadowdancers gain skirmisher (i wasn't sure between skirmisher and ambush).
- Chocobones now have a mounted-like movetype with 11-2 damage
Does the Flagbearer retain steadfast? If not, more hp are needed.

I'm not sure Veiledblades really need skirmisher. It makes them too much like Rogues.

The other changes seem good.
What do you think ? Any other ideas ?

There is room for improvement, any help is welcomed :
* balance : remarks, suggestions of improvements are of course welcomed
note that some factions are still mastered by their authors :
- Kalifa : Noy, Becephalus are the one who makes balance changes
- Aragwaith : usually balance changes are made by EP, in accordance to Wayfarer's feeling of the faction
- Steppe orcs : since it's his own faction, Zhukov should have the final word for everything
I think that a problem with the Dark Elves is that they have too many toys. I'll try to do some thinking about this and get back to you.
* descriptions : there is still a lot on Aragwaith units without description (through i have some, from the time they were called mercernaries). Some Chaos units do also lack a description. Improvement for others are of course welcomed.
I'll try to see if I can write a few.

For the moment yes, but it can be discussed & changed.

They are supposed to be stealthly units ... I did this change to add some flavor.
Perhaps give them ambush instead ?

Yes, i have the same feeling, but i don't thnink it is a major problem and i haven't thought about how to fix it yet.

And thank you for the descriptions updates.

Yes the beak is better, the wings might need some outlines through.

Some ideas :
- some difference in size (ie make the lvl 1 bigger than the level 0)
- not exactly the same plumage, for example a larger zone with clear colors on the elder falcon, so we can quickly identify it is a different unit.

It seems we have a small team.

@ijuric
As I recall some discuss that even birds change their color with higher age.
Even if it is wrong perhaps some lighter plumes to indicate a higher age (I've done the same with the eagle of the eagle rider)

Well a fixed flamethrower.

Noyga would you mind giving him a axe instaed of a sword it? Indeed it would look like a more dwarvish weapon for him.

OK, I've made some more changes. Previous version reminded me of strange brown parrot bit too much. Do you find outlines better defined now? If you don't like eye color I can change it.

Thanx for the advice, it might work really nice.
I like new dwarf. Flamethrower looks great, and also fits description well.
