Can not connect!!

Hey everyone. I am at the local library and I cant connect to Join a game in Multiplayer. Could it be that I may unknowingly be behind a firewall? Also, what speed internet should I have so I don't lag. At home I have dial-up, and the library is faster, but I cant seem to connect! It keeps saying "Could not connect to host".

Any help with this would be great.

If you're at a library then it's likely that they block all but the necessary ports. Of course you can go and ask them about it.

It's probably not a problem of speed, but a problem of firewall.

what i mean is, I have the internet at home. its dial-up and slower that 56k (its like 46k which is REALLY slow). so is that fast enough to play online without lagging or do i need Broadband?
