It's really hard to see that extra pointy spike that protrudes from the top of his spear. A noble end for our brave goblin buddy...
note: BEFORE you say he's not falling "hard enough", I'm aware of it, and it can be "fixed" by removing one of the middle frames of the gif, but I prefer to post the entire thing, since in game all the frames can be included for a much better result and the timing/delay of the animation and the frames can be properly set.

It's hard to see this additional spike. humm... well I can make it look much more obvious if you want me to, but then I'd have to modify not only that animation but the one if his death too.. If you all agree on that then I'll do it, but IMO it's not worth the trouble. Besides the rouser is not supposed to be a skilled spear fighter, like the impaler is. That's why he's holding a flag, see?... Nah, I think this unconventional piercing attack suits him well.

He needs to move his feet while falling over. Right now he looks like one of those wooden thumb toys where you push in the plunger and the guy collapses, only to spring back up again when you release it.

Why can't he pierce that way instead of thrusting? Goblins are not robots, they're not programmed with the "spear-means-thrust" command, they have abilities and skills which combined with their weapons allows them a range of different options for their attacks.Tomsik wrote:It's hard to see this additional spike. Exactly my point. The rouser is not very effective in battle. The impaler thrusts, the rouser does not. The impaler has ranged attack, the rouser does not. Why? Because the impaler has a conventional pike, while the rouser has a flag and a pointy spike coming from his strange spear. Yes, they both use piercing attacks, but they don't fight the same way. Why have two different units if they are going to behave exactly the same as each other 
Anyway, don't worry, I'll work on improving the impaler attack next, so you'll see what the real meaning of thrusting is
I also noticed an error in my rouser death ani, his body seems to get longer as he falls, so it's fixing time...
