So, I guess I should go play POA, and lose it, to see the final scenario? Wow.

The Port City - it sounds like he should come with some starting units - how does a guard of 3-4 units sound, so you can't assassinate him in that manner? I reckon that would do it. But then, he should start with a little less gold, since he's got those starting units. The Border - I haven't playte...

Great campaign, I can't wait to see the rest of it! I've never played the Imperial Era before, it's quite fun when you get the knack. A few specific comments... The Port City I beat this one very early, by killing the Marauder leader as soon as he showed up! Jugarthus just happened to be in the neig...

I have two thoughts on this whole discussion. (But let me preface them by tendering my heartfelt compliments and gratitude to the fine team of Wesnoth developers. You guys rock.) 1. Every savegame already includes every move that was made by every player, from turn 1 to the end. (That's why it's pos...

I started The Pursuit over again from the beginning, and this time I beat it. I do think there should be a way to open one of Malifor's secret doors from inside his study, to prevent being stymied like I was last time, with nowhere to go and no way to win. Then, after The Pursuit, the game could not...

I think I'm stuck in "The Pursuit." Here's what happened. I recalled a bunch of dwarves, then moved everyone up north into the Great Chamber. I triggered the rockslide and sealed us all in there. Killed the spiders. Grabbed the Rod of Justice. Opened the secret door to Malifor and his sold...

Cheaper, yes. But that's a one-time expense, at the time of recruitment. The gryphon riders cost exactly the same to recall. And when they level up, the gryphon masters actually cost less to maintain than the elvish outriders. Ranged attack, yes. But not a good one. Not even enough to kill a bat or ...

The elvish scouts (and elvish riders and elvish outriders) are very useful because of their speed... until the Gryphon Mountain scenario, after which they are obsolete. Once you can recruit gryphon riders, why would you ever need an elvish scout?

I just discovered Wesnoth three days ago. I've played through the whole Heir to the Throne campaign twice now. (Version 0.8, Macintosh). I have not had Moremiryu show up with his white mages at the Valley either time. The first time, I found Moremiryu on the Isle, but he got killed there by some nas...
