Re: Vulcan Portraits
For what it's worth, I actually think that head-parasites wouldn't be a bad idea to explore, at least. But, yeah, it's powershot's call as to whether he'll take advice given. Shoving more of that down his throat if he doesn't want it is, I guess, a problem on our end.The most I can really do is to t...

Re: Vulcan Portraits
One idea (created in the process of joking) was that the vulcan species consisted of ambulatory heads that parasited onto other living bodies after they were decapitated. If you've played Dead Space, think Divider Head. This would make them not only a form of undead, but also an evil infectious pla...

Re: Vulcan Portraits
Walking trees I am okay with. They're at least internally consistent with the Wesnoth fantasy creatures and magic structure. I really do not believe, though, that there is an explanation that doesn't make a drake body with a Vulcan head look much less than silly and/or impossible. To say nothing of ...

Re: Vulcan Portraits
I'm genuinely curious, powershot. Do you want this to be a viable faction in Wesnoth where people can point at the Vulcans and say, "I understand this. This makes sense."? You seem to want to make a campaign out of this concept, but I'm just checking. It'd be very nice if you could provide...

Re: Vulcan Portraits
Vulcans have made magical trees, they are more advanced than humans and I said it in the back story. The basic idea is that you seem to be inventing justifications to force through things that wouldn't otherwise make sense. Vulcan\drakes can happen since Vulcan DNA is easily modified, this is partl...

Re: Vulcan Portraits
Really at this point, all I have left to say is that you're trying hard enough to stretch your backstory around your units that you have claimed underground trees.
Let that sink in a moment.
I tried. Have a nice day.

Re: Vulcan Portraits
Right, so Vulcans being cave-dwellers? Let's roll with that, then. Ignoring the rest of the backstory for a bit, let's look at what being cave-dwellers with almost no sight of the sun for hundreds and hundreds of years (since apparently the races living above-ground had no idea that Vulcans existed)...

Re: Vulcan Portraits
I'm... not sure what I'm looking at there.
It doesn't quite look like a backstory, though. :X

Re: Vulcan Portraits
Hi. Lurker here. Just being around as such, y'know? Upcoming text wall, by the way. Spoilered for long and windy. My thoughts on the matter (if you want to make something out of the whole "Vulcan" thing, which I guess is the implication) are that you should consider getting a straight stor...
