Would this work?
I'm trying to make a better version of ANL, and I'm trying to add more options for the player. I want to know if the code is this attached file will work.

Re: artisticdude's art, critique welcome
Your spriting is awesome, especially from scratch. When I sprite, I always need a base. Your skills rule over mine.
But like stated before, the sprite is too small. Maybe you can scale it a bit?

Re: What programs do you use?
I use MS Paint. You guys are way too fancy. Blarumyrran repeatedly laughs at me for this, but all I need is line, bucketfill, magnifier, and eraser. :P Well I am not judging, but MS paint was out for at least 12 years, and does not save transparency unless you modify the program or something. How e...

Re: Wesnoth II - Wesnoth 3D.
You would need a giant team of willing people to help out with something like this. Such as people familiar with:
3D modeling
Sound Creating/Modifying
Idealists
Testers
Coders
And alot of support
...but this is a start.

Re: What programs do you use?
Artrage is a new name to me, but I recognize the others. Adobe seemed hard to master, but its easy to use once you experiment with it.

Re: adding trait using VARIABLE macro
Kinda seems a bit complicated for mainline, but it would be nice to add another part to your unwelcomed guest thing, which i have played several times online. its a nice proposal.

Re: Genders for all races
Hmm... well I got nothing to lose and plenty of time, so maybe I could try out? I could start from the fighter first, and go on up.

Re: Dagoth's wose sprite
Well that works too, as long as I get to do what I do best.
I've taken the previous comments into mind, so I think I'll fix it up a bit, but a few friends of mine who I showed Wesnoth to thought it looked too much like a tree. I thought of adding facial additions, but I do not know where. Ideas?

Re: Enemies Brainstorming for Huge RPG
Tinting a wraith with red really won't do that much. You need to add a little variation. I would suggest that you put a list of what you want done, then have spriters (like myself) to help out. A few tips too: If you are going to make a mundane creature that has a power called you should do two thin...

What [graphics editing] programs do you use?
Alot of spriters have different methods of creating their sprites. So it crossed my mind to wonder what other spriters use. I triend GIMP, but the interface was too big, so I settled for icoFX, and I like the program. Easy to use, supports transparency, and can export as icons or other types of imag...

Re: Genders for all races
Really? The saurian thing makes sense, but wesnoth is obviously an arcane land of magic and corruption. I would think that the female has more endurance and therfore can harness the magical essence around it (no gender discrimination intended). And the elvish units were created for mainline or very ...

Re: 2d top-down engine
Wouldn't this lead to a new drawing engine all together? I mean, the idea is good and was probably thought of before, but I don't think it was done because anybody who thought of it would realize several problems: 1: the movement system, excluding bats and drakes, really don't move; all they really ...

Genders for all races
Well this did not seem something that could go into mainline (yet, at least) so I decided to post it here. Originally I made some sprites for a different topic by another wesnoth member who wanted to create a giant rpg thing, but after getting quite a few comments on the quality, i decided to try th...
