Also the treads aren't attached to anything apparent to the viewer. It's like someone tried glueing them on at the corners. I really hope you finish this. :)

/me will steal them all! after asking permission of course...

Yes, I'm gonna have to figure something out to connect the treads, once I figure the shading/details of the large empty planes out. And please feel free to use it when I finish it, I'm flattered that anyone would want to, to be honest (okay, maybe I started this with your project in mind...).

EDIT: Here's the finished version of yet another armored dude... wait, except for the shadow...

That looks cool, but isn't he a bit... small?

Though now that I look back on it, it does look somewhat pillowed in places. I really should be doing one of the many things I should be doing, but I ran across the awesome picture of a viking that was just begging to be used as reference for a sprite.

Your spriting is awesome, especially from scratch. When I sprite, I always need a base. Your skills rule over mine. :D

But like stated before, the sprite is too small. Maybe you can scale it a bit?
What? No, I am not 26. Who said that? I'm only 14. Surprised?

Ah, yes. The dangers of neglecting to use a scale reference... and the joy-filled editing process that inevitably follows. :P Or maybe I could just create a midget faction.

...

Nah, I'll resize. Thanks for the comments.

His right arms a bit thin. And his head is too small.
My spritework can be seen here.

I just resized the image and corrected the blurry edges, but I think this is the size I'm after. Anyone see anything before I re-shade it?

He appears to be suffering from T-Rex syndrome. (He has a big head, and little arms.)

I disagree that the unit with the glaive was pillowed - I think the light direction is pretty clear on that one. But as others have said, he's about the size for a level 0.

So much for my foreshortening attempts. But I agree, especially on his right arm.
Here's a fixed-up version a cleaver (?!) and a wooden shield.. I know the shading's really messed up, but is the general shape and structure of the unit okay, or is there something I'm still missing?

It's his turn to go into the resizer after I finish this guy... :P

Really? Hmm. I thought the highlights on his breastplate extended too far to our left, but perhaps I'm mistaken, seeing as two people have said there's no pillowing. :)

You're so afraid of pillowing that you're overreacting I think. :D

That's good though-- you've really broken that habit.
