Post by Saizo-Luz »

Hello! I would like to know what the recruitment pattern is if you don't define it! :hmm: I mean... what is the default recruitment pattern?

There is no default pattern. The AI always tries to recruit the best unit. It considers a lot of factors like enemy types, villages, terrain, gold remaining, current units, etc. Often, two or three units evaluate as equally useful, and the AI chooses one of those at random.

IMHO the AI is pretty smart and I suspect it does a better job than any custom recruit pattern would for general play purposes.
