bug in the estonian translation

Post by martenzo »

the word general always means overall (Üldine in est) even in the unit name. could there be a solution for this. mabye something like this:

Code: Select all

...General
#ifdef
unit_name
translation=Kindral
#endif
#ifdef
in_options_menu
translation=Üldine
#endif
[/code]
me: Welcome to the real world. If everyone says your art and opinions suck, it's because they DO suck. Even if you're too damned proud/stupid/both to realize it.

In po/wesnoth-lib/et.po

Code: Select all

#: src/preferences.cpp:1062
msgid "Prefs section^General"
msgstr "Üldine"
should be something else. See http://wesnoth.slack.it/?EstonianTranslation for maintainer details.

The thing is, that Üldine isn't wrong, it means general as in overall, but general also means Kindral, which means general as in a general

Then the other non-qualified occurrences of "General" need to be changed. For instance there is a translation of the string from data/units/General.cfg line 3 in po/wesnoth/et.po and two automatic translations that are incorrect in wesnoth-trow, both marked as fuzzy.
