Tales of the Rubies (SP campaign for BfW 1.14)
Hi everyone!
This is the reference topic for the campaign “Tales of the Rubies”, a single player campaign for the version 1.14 of BfW.
The story tells of how the Ruby of Fire arrived in the hands of Haldric II, just before the events narrated in the "The Scepter of Fire" campaign.
There are three difficult level, an introduction, an epilogue, 9 battle scenarios and 2 scenarios of dialogues.
It's entirely in my famous english
, and there is the italian translation too.
The campaign is complete.
Have fun!

You are using an old map of Wesnoth.
S1
Why is there a normal day-night-cycle underground?
Unit 'female Ogre' -> 'Female Ogre'

I know. I like vintage

A mistake; I changed it, and now there is the day-night-circle only above the little lake in the middle of the map

Intro dialogue:
voice -> rumour (better)
his -> her (they talk about princess)
obey to yours -> obey yours
all the units -> all units (at least I think so)
twentyfive -> twenty five (in all cases)

Kill the Gryphon leader with the princess. She doesn't receive any XP.
Also, check out her unit description as fencer princess. The text describes the counterattack special, but she doesn't have it (yet). In the description of counterattack, defensively is misspelled.
In The Elven Revenge, if the last enemy killed is not one of the leaders there is no path to victory.

Attached is proofreading of the scenarios, based on version 1.0.2. I generally left orcs and nagas alone.
I'll tackle dialogs.cfg later and attach here.
BTW, I played on easy. There were a couple scenarios, in particular The Troll Hole, where I had trouble with the turn limit, but generally the difficulty felt right and it was fun to play.

I have not finished the campaign at all, but if in this story there is only the Ruby of Fire involved, then the campaign name should probably be 'Tales of the Ruby'. And it's only one tale instead of multiple ones, it would be 'Tale of the Ruby'.

And the same happened in the alternative scenario "The Orcish Revenge"white_haired_uncle wrote: ↑May 7th, 2019, 9:25 pm In The Elven Revenge, if the last enemy killed is not one of the leaders there is no path to victory.

The last one was one. I think maybe The Elven Revenge, though I think I could have played it differently.Argesilao wrote: ↑May 8th, 2019, 7:27 pmThat's no good in easy modewhite_haired_uncle wrote: ↑May 8th, 2019, 2:41 am BTW, I played on easy. I attached proofs of dialogue to my earlier post.

When Pancratyn speaks, there is again "twentyfive" instead of "twenty five".
What are you said -> What did you say, commander?
What are you said -> What did you say, commander?
