Factions and eras

I have two questions / suggestions.

Firstly, how do I use factions in a wesnoth multiplayer game. I've figured out how to use eras but not factions.

Second question. If i wanted to use multiple era's at the same time, for the express purpose of having a large variety of player factions to choose from in game, how would I do this?

I know some factions may be over or under powered, but i don't really care about balance at this point, i'm just looking to have some fun playing with or against a ton of different factions at the same time.

1) The same way you use eras.

2) You either have to combine them yourself, or look for an add-on that does so already (such as Ageless Era).

hey, since you seem to be new to the game i will tell you the same as pentarctagon, but with other words:

1) Factions are included in eras. so when you chose an era, you can select the faction later in the players slot in the game-room.
just click on the "random"-button beside the specific player number, then you can select a faction from the previously selected era.
(otherwise the faction will be randomly chosen, hence the default setting is "random")

2) the are some huge ERAS out there which already combine most of the known eras. ageless-era is the most popular among them.
if you look for "eras" in the add-on-menu you will notice some really big uploads. these are the ones that combine several eras (and their faction).
