Wow

Post by Negelum »

Just DL'd BfW a couple days ago and all I can say is wow. Been playing TBS games for a long time and this has to be one of the best. It is a little tough at first but once you get the hang of it it starts coming along. I got a little annoyed witht he camps and there turn limits but I started playing multiplayer single player and just put it at unlimited I love it. I love the fact that units arnt yes carbon copies with different colors ie. humans have a crossbowmen and elves have a bowman which are pretty much the same unit. I hate in other games where every one is screaming we need balance. Life isnt balanced that is why you need strategy to overcome it ). anyway good job to all that made this game. It is late and I am tired so if none of this makes any sense you know why.

Ayes, but it's turning even more common than before; back in the old days we would use custom made avatars or none; kids these days ::shakes walking cane::

That's very nice of you to offer to make custom avatars for everyone! I can't wait to see what the forum looks like with a whole bunch of neo-made avatars everywhere ;)

Did you?

Then maybe you can give some background on them? They're lacking a description and they sorely need one...

saurians have no background. Drakes have no background. Thus both should be removed from game immediately!.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. :D

This isn't entirely true anymore-- I introduce the Drakes in 'Peoples in Decline' in TROW. I never specify if they are the only Drakes on the planet, but I do give them enough of a backstory so they have a reason for them turning up on the Great Continent. AKA- they are currently on a slowly sinking volcanic island.

Much the same with the Saurians. . . In TROW they existed as a minor race on the Great Continent. No where near as strong as the elves or dwarves. They had a trading relationship with the Nagas of the Sea, and at least some of them were know to serve a Dragon. . . When Haldric ruined these arrangements they made friends with the recently arrived Orcs. . .

And yes, I know you were joking :)
