hi i am using Wesnoth version 1.6.5 and i was wondering if i could compile and install the 1.0 version of wesnoth without replacing the 1.6.5 version seeing as 1.0 is so fun :3

Sure. You probably need to have the preferences dir of 1.6 be something other than ~/.wesnoth though so you don't share it with 1.0 (can't change it there).
