Hi,

1. it could be possible/usable to have an option which could allow to have less dialog. When opening a savegame, there is objective popup, then "now it's your turn" and in some case "some of your units...". Sometime I'm bored with this. Or when saving a turn which already exists, disabling "do you wish to overwrite it".

2. same idea : skip all speaking, when you reload a sceanrio from the beginning and if there is lots of talking, it should be possible to skip all to go into the action.

3. adding counter in recruit/recall window, to get many units in one time instead of opening the same window n times.

4. adding turn selection in replay, which makes possible to go drectly to an interesting turn and skip previous ones.

5. avoiding to scroll to a leader when he couldn't moves/doing anything (like in northern outpost, where human leader just wait, and in valley of status where unitl mirror was broken, orc still frozen).

1) some of these can be turned off in preferences.

2) Press the Escape key.

3) Ctrl-Shift-R is a 'recruit same unit' command.

4) I don't quite understand this...

5) I think this would be complicated to implement.
It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.

just when you show a replay, instead of showing from turn 1 to turn n, have some button/progress bar to go to turn y (1<= y <= n). Is it clear ?

mmm... not sure, it's depend on how it is coded now. If we know before scrolling that this leader will do nothing, scrolling could be skipped.

I don't think so; if the player is an AI then don't scroll to the leader until the side does something. However I don't see any real reason to implement it; the current system lets you know when every team's turn is.

I don't remember, but I thought you could choose your flag color in multiplayer without affecting the turn sequence.
Anyway my point is that if your system is implemented then some people might say "Hey, that side never got a turn!". I think the scroll-to-leader event is important because it signifies that it is that player's turn.

yes, it's always the same issue about most people wish/wait :?. A proper option could make everyone happy :D and give some work to dev team

you still haven't explained the benefits of this proposal, and the problem is that it would give some work to the dev team :)

aaarrfff
It's as difficult to fight against strong ennemy as making an idea to become add :D :D
To be serious, there is not really a great benefits, but for me, and perhaps for others players, it's very annoying to see such scrolling: going to a location (doing nothing), immediately going to another... each turn for both scenario. It's just cosmetic.

Multiple recalls

Post by scott »

I would LOVE to have multiple recalls (recall 2+ units at once). In HTTT, when you have a large list and you want to recall a many of them, it can take quite a long time. Maybe add CTRL-click or SHIFT-click functionality to the unit list. It can wait until after 1.0.
