Replace AI with player

Post by Asereje »

I think that wolud be great if yo could replace an AI-controlled player with a human player in multiplayer.

I don't know if this has been proposed before.

you mean during the game, to change the controller of the player?

that might be good, but i doubt many players will want to take over for the AI...

Yes, during the game. Maybe you get disconnected and want to rejoin... or maybe you have to do something for some minutes and have to be replaced with AI for a while...

And I suppose that this shold not be very hard to implement.

Yeah, I like this idea. Would not work well in RTS, but is quite nice in TBS.

It's a good idea, just not necessarily easy to implement.

Maybe a whole administrator menu should be implemented. I mean there would be a panel, where the maker of the multiplayer game could kick out people and place in observer. Additionally he could turn off labels, fog-of-war, etc. during the game.
