i need to get back to playing and mapmaking so im just cutting this short
i do too many things now...

1. The “Wesnoth� logo in the lobby sometimes obscures text when people are chatting. Instead, maybe a more elaborate Wesnoth design may be placed going sideways-down on the player list. Because the background of the player names is black, this would pose no viewing problems.

2. However, eventually it would be cool if player could choose the background color for their name in the lobby along with maybe a small (2k) icon that would go next to their name.

3. As long as I am on backgrounds, maybe a background design for the list of games would spruce things up.

4. Although currently not something I can see a use for, perhaps one day password-protected games where only people who knew the password could play would be a good idea.

5. Because of observers who may be purposefully disruptive, the host of a game should have an option to kick an observer out of a game.

6. In the screen where players can join and wait for the game to begin, the blocks where things such as “team� and “color� are displayed are actually a bit too small for some login names to be displayed correctly. Some login names overlap onto the surrounding images and characters.

7. Adding the ability to save the chat log as a text file might be nice.

8. If you save the multi game at any time, you can use a work-around to view its replay. Being able to save a replay when quitting, being dropped from by a disconnect, or winning the game might be a nice feature though for those who did not try to figure it out or like an easier way of doing it or would not be able to in the first place.

9. Bug: Once people join a game, they do not see all the people who join afterwards.

10. Bug: If people do a blank message (i.e. just a space) in a game, the subsequent message is displayed on the same line as the blank and thus the name is garbled.

11. Multiplayer campaign support implementation! (Multiple recall lists, and so on, everything that would allow us to build multi campaigns, this is probably going to be a team effort).

12. Do not allow computer to cheat with shroud/fog.

13. Nuclear Weapons.

I like them; 12 and 13 have already been discussed i think; problems with making the shround AI behave nice or somthing.

14. Separating and/or creating hotkey(s) for allies only and directed to everyone messages. That would rock.

anyway, thats the stuff for before the features get frozen, im goin back to the other stuff i do

yo.
15. Ability of the host to boot a player. Effectively like player quitting, except they are "forced" to do so. The use of this would be for players whose modem connections die in mid-game.

It ruins the game - the player cannot rejoin, and their "ghost" just sits there forever.

16. Also might be cool to be able to see what is going on outside the game "room" so to speak - a separate box of what is being said in the main chat room.

I agree with 4, 8, 12, and 15.

Note on 5: If that happens much, just turn off allowing observers in the game creation.

17. Donating money(villages, units?) to allies.
18. Lobby idleness indicator.
19. sliders, grrr. ATM it's a pain to set gold. A text field would be nice.
20. Ability to clear all player set labels at once.
21. Prohibiting setting labels(dunno if it's there yet)
22. Swap exsisting AI with a human player.
23. Skip replay for observers.

I agree with 19, 21, and 23. I like 20, but change that to "all labels." I hate those village names.

i forgot this

24. When a player creates a game and the lobby forces a scroll bar so you can scroll down to see it, only make them scroll down to see it if the window is actually full of games. It confuses everyone when you have to scroll down to see another game when the current window is not even full of them. Nobody ever sees that game because they forget the scroll bar because it illogically created in the first place.

i'd reword 24. to: "sort games, so that the starting ones are always on top.". That way you couldn't miss one.

well considering a couple were jokes, a couple were BUGS (as in you kind of might want to fix them), and a couple arent feasible, theres really only maybe 17 or 18, and theyre not huge ground shaking changes
