King units

Post by Emasher »

what i've noticed is most factions in the defauld era anyway (excluding elves undead and drakes) don't really have a unit that can be chosen as a leader that looks leaderish.

i sugest a level 2 unit that could only be used as a leader (one for each dwarves orcs and humans)

in fact human have a unit which can only be chosen as leader...

but for undead a unit which advances in a death knight would be nice,
maybe for elves something like a druid...

'Leaderish'?

. . . Well, Loyalists have the Seargents, and Elves have Captains, and Undead have Necromancers, and Drakes have Drake Flares and co., and Dwarves have Lords and shorter, and Northeners have . . .

. . . THE GOBLIN ROUSER! RAWR!

Whilst I can't see much use for king units in regular MP games or scenarios, it would be useful to have a king unit (even an image) for scenarios which actually does have a king in it.

Forgot about that. I was thinking more of a non-warrior king.

necromancers have no leadership...

but why should they have... one third to one half of their army is mindless, depending on the debate, which undead are int and which are not...

maybe you could make an undead special which boosts not undead damage but defense a bit... maybe call it bolster undead...

(just an idea... I do not want to change the holy balance)

x_x I don't advocate Necromancers as a Leader because they have Leadership. If every factions had a unit with Leadership or a similar anti-Leadership, or even just anything that looks in any way like Leadership, what would be the point?

I say that undead have Necromancers because they're Undead - Necromancers 'fit' as their Leader, and are Leaderish. In the same way the Lord doesn't have Leadership, but still looks like a Leader.
