I can't do that, but can I comment out the animation in the unit file. That may break multiplayer, but oh well.

This python script comments out lines with "{STANDING" of the animation macro, it should be more useful when there are more dancers than just saurians. You'll need to change the directory in lines 71 and 79 to wherever the unit files would be found on your system.
It seems easier to me to delete the definition of the macro (or comment out or define it to expand to nothing) instead of changing each use of the macro.

(And even more, if later someone programs a filter on a option, the macro can be changed to do the conditional animation.)

You just run it once, how is that not easy? And if you like dancing saurians, but not dancing elves, it is easy to adjust the directory.

And if someone buys me a pony, I can ride on top of it.

I've searched a bit and had a quick look on the bug report form, but cant find mention of the following:

When trying to play a multilayer game player 2 is dropped from the game immediately when the map loads.

OS: Win XP 32bit
BfW Ver: 1.9.0

Process:

1) Host network game (LAN)
2) Select a map with multiple players
3) Players 1 and 2 join in the lobby
4) Selection of teams etc all works fine
5) Click I'm ready and Player 2 gets dropped from the game back to lobby

Tested with default maps, custom maps, 2 players only, 2 players + AI players

**EDIT ** More info: Tried creating a map using v1.9.0 just in case it was a map file issue, still crashed out for one player. Tried joining as an observer, just dumped straight out to lobby. SOmetimes it's teh person who created teh game that gets dropped, sometimes the person joining. Doesn't seem to be a particular player number, ie player 1 may get dropped on one attempt, player 2 on another.

Pity.... we were looking forward to playing with the new look terrain.

This was already reported. The player that keeps getting dropped just needs to leave the lobby, and then sign back in to fix it.

I'm running 1.9.0 on Windows 7.

In DiD scenario 7: A small Favor 1, the full inside of the manor is impassible terrain. I notice that it is all listed as flat (),
whereas other terrain is often flat(flat).

I have attached my save.

PS: This is my first post, so, thanks for the great game, everyone. :D

Yeah, it seems the wooden floor terrain is broken in 1.9.0, but it's been fixed since. Attached is your savefile which I patched to use another terrain instead.

However, I also found huge bugs in the next two scenarios as well, so if you want to continue playing, you'll need to replace both 08_A_Small_Favor2.map and 09_A_Small_Favor3.map in your wesnoth-install-dir/data/campaigns/Descent_Into_Darkness/ directory with the attached files.

That works great, thank you so much! Now, to the manor!

I'm running 1.9.0 on Windows 7 (though this has been happening since before I upgraded from Vista)

My hotkeys don't seem to work. I've checked all the options, and I can't seem to find any explanation for it. It isn't in a specific campaign or scenario, they just don't work at all :S

Try to change language of your keyboard input. Even base shortcuts don't work for me, if I press "г" instead of "u".

I think I figured it out (though not sure how to fix it); when I first start up the game, the hotkeys work; if I alt-tab, they stop working until I restart the client. Using the windows button to minimize doesn't seem to cause that problem.

The multiplayer bug wasn't solved by the workaround offered. Actually it made it worse. When player 2 quit the lobby Wesnoth crashed and locked up on Player 1's computer!
