New unit: Marauder Boatsman.
Purpose of unit: To give marauders a water-going unit.
What I have done: unit.cfg, new movement type, static art for level 1.
What we still need to do: balance unit, think of good names for levels 2 and 3, make static art for levels 2 and 3, animate all levels, write descriptions for all levels.

Well the Vikings seem alot like Vikings to me, with the pillaging and thier clothes/armour/weapons, that you could have it being a long boat, growing more dragon like at level 3 (for the vikings had dragon heads and scales carved all on the long boat)
Or you could call one of the levels longboat
Some others: prahu, umiak, seafarer (partial tribute)
If each race needs either a swimming, or flying unit or both... what would the Sidhe have

Not as in your ships, these changes are designed to make is acceptable to go mainline, and mainline has always been against full ship Confrontations, or just ships. Some clarifications....
We are NOT going to have ships. These are boats. And very small boats at that. I'm not opposed to having a longboat sprite, that we could use for story purposes and stuff, but it isn't going to be a unit.
The purpose of this is to give every faction in the Imperial Era a water-going unit, or a flying unit. The sidhe already have one - the Ancestor. He just doesn't move on water currently because it would be unbalanced.
The marauders are getting this coracle unit, and the Lavinians are getting some other sort of boat. (NOT ship). The Marauders are like vikings, in that they use longboats. But they don't use them directly in battle - rather, they use them to transport troops to the battle. So we don't need an actual longboat unit.
Now, I think I want Seawolf for the level 3. What about a level 2 name?
Boatsman -> Seadog -> Seawolf
or
Boatsman -> Seafarer -> Seawolf
or something else?
BTW, I'm not attached to the name Boatsman, if you can think of a good substitute. But I do like the name Seawolf a lot.
