Very good idea. Putting mist might be good. Trees shouldn't have the same form, IMO.

I would not worry too much about trying to recolor existing graphics just to increase variety. Not to be mysterious (well Ok, in part to be mysterious) I will just say that my reason for making this assertion will become clear in a few days time.

Was reading this post and started to think if there´s any way to limit a unit´s line of sight based on terrain...

Because, if there is, these forests could become some sort of "mysterious" terrain, somewhere where chaotic units could hide and wait to ambush other troops... As it´s a dark, thick and misty forest, that would be interesting... Do you agree???

I know this could go against both KISS and WINR... But it´s still an interesting idea... :)

Yes, but I hope it won't overpower any unit.

It could also be a terrain where flying units would fly more slowly because they would be slow by the dark magic of that forest.

I want a plan and simple Oak wood nothing is more beautiful with some small changes they would make a decent dark wood.

I'm filled with curiosity.

You should let the mist stay on ground level within the forest and not over the trees.

The middle type of mist looks best if it is worked on alot more.

the middle one, except it covers the forest a little to much, the mist needs to be more transparent.

Does Seashore have layers? Layers will allow you to move the fog behind the trees easily. Otherwise take the forest and paste it over the fog. Maybe try to use a greenish fog on the bottom. 20-25% Transparency.
