I think it's great man. If the perfect is the enemy of the good, then great is just right.

Is it just me, or is the sword really thin and narrow now ?

I think it's the handguard and the presence of the original that make it look that way.

It's very good.

My only critique is that his right hand (the one that doesn't hold the sword) is, IMO, too small, and his thumb is specially tiny.

Edit: Ah, I have read your comment (where you=jetryl) about that hand. Nevermind then.

Aha. I just figured out what was weird with the right thumb. If it will be on the side of the fist like it is now it has to be longer. Otherwise you should put it under the fingers so it goes out of our view - like you're making a normal fist.

Thanks Scott, Asereje - I'll return to work on this quite soon. So many other things to do around here. :P

For some reason his right hand and feet look really small. Also, his legs seem too short.

I'm sorry to throw a stick in the wheel, but if I think so, I'm sure others will too. Better to discuss it now that once it's too late.

Great work Jetryl! I think this portrait will quickly become one of my favorites in the game.

I think the (new) right hand is too small and the thumb is wrong, but I don't think the legs are too short.

But actually, my biggest worry is that this is going to make the other portraits (especially Konrad) look bad by comparison. Konrad, as the hero/main character, really should have the highest quality portrait, IMO. Delfador and Li'sar seem like higher priorities than Kalenz too.

(But yes, I realize that Jetryl has an unfortunate elf-obsession.)

All I have to say is "you've come along way baby." Your technique has really improved a lot since you first joined the forum. Keep up the great work.

I think you're mistaking that for an obsession with ninjas. Really.
I just can't get enough of them, especially the female variety.
I'm hoping someone can produce ninja in liquid form so I can have it injected straight into my bloodstream.

Of course, were that the case, I'd probably spend all my time jumping through the treetops, chopping robots in half, which would mean nothing would get done here. :?
