Killing all enemy leaders is victory automatically, unless it's been turned off.scott wrote:I don't think there is even a victory event for that scenario.lz1kwk wrote:may sound kinda wierds but you know you could beat them if you were a really good fighter in wesnoth
(from last time I played the scenario) It is possible, in theory, to win, but what it takes is luck, rather than skill. By being extremely skilled, you might make yourself 100 times more likely to win, but the probability would still be less than 0.0000001%. Your best bet for (realism-wise) survival is to fight your way to the open water, but even that is not very possible.
It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.

the drake escape
In the drake escape I don't have a king, only the pirat. I can't recruit anything. I just have to flee. But that's not possible, elves are blocking my way. All right with that, but at the sixt turn I always get the message: you lost. The turn aren't gone. I've 14 left.
Is this my problem or is it wesnoth itself?
Please help if it's my problem.

Althought I haven't played this Campain all the way thorough I think it is pretty good. Matter of fact, It makes sense to have it, and maby even make it official since it is the only Drake Campaign out there (correct me if I am wrong). Another big bonus to it is that it is compleate. Out of all the scenarios out there, there are very few that actually have an ending.
Also, whenever I play the first scenario, I always put up the best fight I can. Why? Well, if someone was trying to put your people into slavery I am sure you woult (well I would anyway) fight to the death rather then being a slave. Not much good that it has done me but it's the concept that counts.

The point exactly, although I could make the computer fight itself and turn it into an animated cut scene, but if you play, you also gain some familiarity with the drakes.Taurus wrote:Also, whenever I play the first scenario, I always put up the best fight I can. You need to download the latest version of Wesnoth, as this bug was fixed long ago. And I'm sorry, but you'll have to replay from Blue River, as I was forced recently by changes in CVS to make a change to the internals of the campaign, which breaks many saves.Roel Verschaeren wrote:In the drake escape I don't have a king, only the pirat. There are three Dreadnoughts in the water, to prevent you from somehow escaping to the water with Malakar and surviving indefinitely.Elvish Pillager wrote:Your best bet for (realism-wise) survival is to fight your way to the open water, but even that is not very possible.
Your gold is reset for the second scenario.Rhuvaen wrote:No,u just don't waste your time

Maybe you can give somekind of extra bonus for each human unit killed + turns resited (with a maximun turn # to advoid this).
I doenst need to be money but maybe something as a couple of extra slaves or something like that
units*10+turns > 25 1 extra unit next level
units*10+turns > 50 another one
This will not much unbalance the next level (or you can remove them if you dont get a minimun point value...like 15 or so)

second scenario
What is the tactic for the second scenario - Manor ? I can get a key, but after that I'm overwhelmed by bowmen and spearmen. Or I can get drake pikes from Armory, but they are useless and I get locked in the Armory, can't fight my way out until end of turns. Are there any trick here ?
Re: second scenario
Yes. You need to act fast. The spears are not your main priority, the key is. You only need to take out the northern enemy, not the southwestern.serg3d wrote:What is the tactic for the second scenario - Manor ? Arturus2: you have a point.
