[off-topic]This post is very amusing when you read it out-of-context[/off-topic]Disto wrote:Argh i hate being bad at heads, Can i nick your head?
It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.

Basically, they exist to give us more generic enemies for campaigns. The guys might get so much use that they could merit being in the standard distro. I can see uses for them in HttT ... christ - all over the place.Big Bad Joe wrote:They look very good Disto, except heads. What are they ment for? Join with Outlaws in new Dark faction?? See my thread in Devs - Knalgans/ Criminals..
All they are is barbarous, "northmen" type people. They could be viking-types, mercenaries, raiders, anything, but they are distinguished from the outlaws as not being explicitly outlaws.
One really cool use of them would be if we could wrap a few scenarios into HttT in which Konrad&Li'sar, wielding the sceptre of fire, are able to stop the barbarian men of the north from battling against each other, and rally them to fight against Asheviere. Perhaps they could be convinced that she is responsible for the growing dominance of orcs in the region?
It would offer a more plausible explanation of why Konrad's forces were able to win, if nothing else.
Anyways, though, I'm trying not to be too involved in this project, because I want some other artists to have a chance to "cut their teeth". Plus I've already got a lot to do anyways. I am happy, though, to give some nudges in the right direction.

Big Bad Joe wrote:That sounds pretty good, but HttT is a little bit large even now, it does not need any more scenarios I hope..
A more non-linear story path would be really cool, though. In fact it would be really sweet if there were several paths to play through it, focusing on different allies. All dependent on what you do in different scenarios.
Not mine to create, but these units would facilitate such a thing. Right now, we can't, because all the different paths would be fighting the same darn units over and over again.
Yeah well, i've removed the outlines, made them more buff and slightly taller, i'll do the heads later.

The swords need to be fatter. Nobody else in Wesnoth, even the Fencer, uses such skinny wimpy-looking swords.
