Unfortunately I'm having the same issues as Mabuse. Any replay that I try can't find its leaders and oos's when trying to recruit the first unit of the game with an illegal unit error. At a cursory glance, units have the right ids in the add-ons files, so I have no idea what is up. I'm on Windows 11, Wesnoth 1.18.5.

yes. they dont work. because of this i dont bother downloading any more.

i have the actual version of WOTG.

Default Knalga does really well in randomly generated maps. Gryphon riders are really good scout in almost all terrains, and dwarves are 1 MP cost in almost any ground terrain ... swift foot is also meta in flat. Multiple reasons they to be still in the contendence.

They might have hard opponents this time (harpies) , both which are between my favorites, let's see which one prevails.


Also factions that are still in 3rd round are well rounded or very strong in randomly generated maps, as having a win streak of 3 in row with RANDOM opponents means they're trully strong, meanwhile factions that did lose the first round aren't necessairly bad because they coul hve lost their first game because being so unlucky to fight in first round with the finalists.

So it's more accurate to say that factions that lasted so many rounds are strong rather than saying that factions that lost in round 1 are weak, because the 2nd affirmation is not necessarily true.

Dwarves-Default lost versus Harpies. RIght now are fighting Unforgiven vs Gremlins. Somehow Gremlins has advantage right now. Map is big (63 hexes) and it takes long for ai to move units).
