I don't know that it was intentional, but I don't think anything changed (intentionally, at least). Can you post start of scenario save(s) from GA at least in case it's needed (or any other scenario you think might help, IIRC GA leads to SotN so that should show the issue best)?

Can you post start of scenario save(s) from GA
Start of GA scenario attached. I'm also attaching RoBH start since that has the path to ES. Ty.

Edited to add: I don't know when this behavior appeared, I gave my versions as a data point, not as a "it first appeared" point.

Hello, I have a problem with my ancient lich, i see on the website that he has possible upgrade: Making Adjacent Non-Undead Enemies Less Resistant to Arcane, Fire and Impact – withering presence
This advancement can be taken once
This advancement requires the advancement lifeforce transfer to be achieved first
New ability: withering presence
Screen with my abilities https://prnt.sc/YKNQzZCElYJ3
I dont have a option to take this upgrade.
Screen while lvling https://prnt.sc/JO4chaypZbwG

Nice unit! I like a good lich.

I took at glance at this, and found:

Code: Select all

require_amla="lifeforce transfer" # Only if advanced from Arch Necromancer
Did you advance this guy via Tome of Liches? I notice he has highlander, not sure if the adept line can get that or not (Connor could, but I don't think he does anymore, and I know it's random for some non-undead).

Yes, he is from tome of liches. He was an elvish archer, i gave him a Dark Sword of Destruction, and i took upgrade to Gryph for additional item (this sword), then i changed him into lich. Now i farm him on belzebub, but i have this problem with lvling. Missing -30% arcane penetration hurt so bad :x

Are Dark Adepts supposed to be recruitable? I'm in Chapter 9 atm and can't recruit any, don't recall being able to do it in previous runs either.

I don't think there are any. AFAIK the only way to even get a necromancer is in ch3. But my memory isn't great.

No change, you're just playing differently.

I've always finished by killing all the enemy leaders, which makes this one of the harder scenarios. But now that I look at it, the objectives do say that you can escape instead.

A few questions:

1. Mario (the peasant) now has a "perfectionist" trait. Is there a way for anyone else to get it? Is there a file that lists the likelihood of getting each trait?
2. I believe there used to be a way to adjust the gem drop rate. Has that been removed? I can't find it.

1. I'm pretty sure no one else can get it. You can find the odds in the code, but even them some get overridden.

2. Drop rates are set separately for pretty much every scenario, though in theory you could override this in utils/global_events.cfg.

Thanks for the quick reply.

1. I thought there might be a file that lists the likelihood of getting each trait. But I can't find it. I went through all the .cfg files.
2. The global events file doesn't mention any percentages. Do you know where and what you'd have to write to change them?

1) One place is utils/global_events.cfg RECRUIT_MODS. Don't expect to find one place that lists each trait and its chance to be acquired randomly. And it's not that easy anyway, as some traits may get removed (there are some units that can be VERY nasty if they get the right mix of traits, so when they are first encountered some traits may be removed so they are not impossible to beat). units/demons_race.cfg is another.

2) First page of utils/global_events.cfg. CHANCE and CHANCE_GEM are percentages

Code: Select all

#define DROPS CHANCE CHANCE_GEM WEAPONS BOSSES ENEMIES
