There's three ways to do it:
1) Go into all the scenario files and change "turns=WHATEVER" to "turns=-1"
2) Compile a new version of Wesnoth which ignores turn limits
3) Mess with the turns using something like The Cheat.

P.S.: Your post was split from the topic it was in because it was not relevant to that topic.
It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.

how do I compile a new version? Going through each file is time consuming

Do I have to download something?

You need a c++ compiler
You download the source code and compile it
How you go about it varies by operating system. Let me guess: Windows?

If you don't know this, then going through each file is going to be much faster.

Yeah, "Going into all the scenario files and change "turns=WHATEVER" to "turns=-1" is a lot easier. Though you should realize the turn limits are there for a reason, and in some scenarios they are very important.

What would happen in "Valley of death" if you turned off turn limits?

You would have to defeat enemy leaders.

And you would never get a turn bonus, which would really lower the amount of gold you have on some levels.

You wouldn't need a turn bonus either, because you can delay the final kill for as long as you want, prcatically giving you unlimited gold.

On some levels, i said. Like running levels. Like the one at the start of HttT.... you kind of want that bonus you get for the rest of the turns you couldnt' hvae used anyway, because you would die...

What you do is set it to -1, then the turn before you would end it, save and edit it to a large num, like if your on turn 29, then set it as like 100 and 71 turn bonuses thing.

Like they are saying, go to the edit page, and where it says turns cahnge to 999999999 then you pretty much have unlimedtid turns.

If the thread is over a month old, and the question has been answered, why the hell did you resurrect it!?!?
