Lots of tension in that pose. I generally like it.
It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.

The taller spearman really makes me realize how tiny his shield is. (or is it a buckler?)

because it is the size of his head? or because it is the size of his torso? this is just par for the course with super-deformed art.

The new height is an improvement. :)

There are, however, two major problems I have with this image. The left leg (his left) narrows down too much at the bottom. And, the right leg (his right) is too fat at the top. It maks it look like he is squatting down, somehow...

hahaha, lol monkey but you are right, it is his butt. (btw you can edit and avoid a double post)
the only thing I see is that his head seems to get cut off, like its flat and not round...
in fact he looks kinda skinny overall, but I like the height.
maybe put it on some ground? that might help looking at it. but it looks pretty good. did you take it and stretch it? ;) jk

The breastplate actually may have some improvements in placement of armor plates.

However, as has been duly noted, this sprite, unlike the size increase made by shadow, has moved BACKWARDS in several more important respects, such as proportion, and shape.

The old armor plate makes him look more like the cheap and weak level 1 unit that he is. Spearman are the conscripts of the loyalist race, they shouldn't have too nice armor.

I totally agree, but that last edit was cool =)

My only beef is the that buckler looks like its held strangely. As if he is angling it IN twoards him. I get the impressions because the buckler looks at us face on, but the spearmen is angled twoard the buckler a tad.
