Good RPG single-player campaigns

Post by hotmitts »

I hope this is the right place to post this
I'm liking the RPG aspects of Wesnoth and wanting to know what single-player campaigns people might recommend, that focus on/develop the RPG side.
What RPG means to me is having consistent units that are intended to last throughout a campaign, I'm finding a lot of the strategy -based maps too challenging, and I don't like to lose too many levelled-up units!
I tried several of the campaigns a while ago, got side-tracked, and can't remember even what they were called now! There seems a lot to choose from!

They aren't a campaign, but the SX maps have a lot of the RPG stuff. They can be pretty challenging though.

Most mainline campaigns Feature some little rpg elements. The mainline campaign "Under a burning sun", is proably the most charming campaign, featuring more rpg elements than other mainline campaigns.

For other single player rpg campaigns you can find by searching through the addons using "rpg". Just filter for campaigns and you will find what you need.
Unfortunately due to complexity, some addons are not finished yet.

Aeranor Book I, Quest of Wesnoth, Grnk the Mighty and Legend of Invincibles are some of these single player addons. There are also multiplayer scenarios which can be played alone as well such as Labyrinth of Champions, SXRPG, Wesband and World of Wesnoth ... So far I've also developed three rpgs: Trapped, Five Fates and Strange Legacy.

It is about you to decide which one you like and want to play.
