What you said earlier:

Don't forget to define which side elves and trolls will focus on. Command the elves to focus on the dragon to the south (not Shek'har), and they shouldn't be target by Shek'har's fire dragons. ;-)
Also, fighting the drakes in the open may be better, as they only have 30% defence there. If they attack units on the wall, they'll be standing on chasm, where they have 40% defence - and where they'll have more mobility, as they can fly and surround defending units on the wall more easily.

sure sounds like encouraging to fight in the open. Also what you said about sending the Elves and half the dwarves south to attack that SE Drgaon.
That was more like a suggestion than an encouragement. Also, when I talked about fighting the drakes in the open, I was referring to the flat terrain near the walls; I never advised launching an all-out attack against the enemies. And I also said that fighting drakes in the open might be better, but that was up to you to decide whether it was really better or not ;-)
Farewell part one: How in the world am I supposed to get through a forest crawling with Level 2 and 3 enemies with no troops and no losses?
The heroes started with absolutely no unit surrounding them? :o

No, not a single unit.

editing to add, the add-on server says the campaign is upgradable. If I do that would I have to start over?

Now that's a serious bug... I'll try to correct it today if I hhave time...
About the upgrade, no, you can just continue playing normally :-)

In Farewell Part II you're supposed to play only with Myra, Jevyan, Alenya and Akashia ;-)
But did that scenario start normally? Because skipping Farewell Part I before its end may cause problems in the following scenario, as Myra is 'unstored' at the end of part I; without that, she should start part II as a lvl 1 again... :hmm:

Ok, I used debug and unit moves=99 to get through Farewell 1 with no troops. Then I completed Farewell 2 and started Blood of the Steppes. Is my recall list supposed to be empty of all but 3 new units?

Sorry for the delayed response, I'm currently in the middle of a hellstorm of final exams, seminaries and presentations, I've barely had time to work of AotDS... :augh:
Anyway, I've uploaded version 0.5.2 with some changes to the coding of scenarios The Sky Dragon Descends and Farewell, Pt I that should permanently fix the bug of starting Farewell without units other than the heroes. Bad news is, for these changes to work, the player must replay The Sky Dragon Descends...

A song of Fire does not show as upgradeable on the server. Also do you mean replay from the beginning? Also if it is from the beginning will going back to the start of the scenario do or do I need to finish the previous one again?

Are you playing in 1.12? Because I've yet to upload the new version to that server - right now I dont have the 1.12 branch installed in my laptop. As for replaying the scenario, you must start from the ASoF-The Sky Dragon Descends.gz file :|

If you have the 1.11 version installed, download the campaign from that server, copy the folder and paste it in the add-ons folder of the 1.13 version; but when I get home I'll see if I can upload it to the 1.13 server

I don't have it installed, I just got the first 1.11 available at the time to play this campaign. Anyway I won't be able to replay the Sky Dragon Descends until the weekend.

Ok I am more than a bit gun shy on replaying this scenario so I cheated to make sure it worked. I used debug to kill all the dragons and advanced the turn to 18 then killed the Sky Dragon. I have the same 6 units as before. No troops at all.
