Anyway, new problem! I can recruit poachers in "Where the sun does not shine" (chap.1). I'm sure it isn't intended...
Of course not. I'll check it out.
Also, when i take the advancement for faerie sabre with Lethalia, the attack is the last one, after faerie fire. Wouldn't it be better to put melee attacks with the other melee ?
If you add a new attack, it will appear at the bottom of the list, because you will be probably used to the list of attacks that was there before choosing that attack. You remembered that faerie fire was the third on the list, so it remains third permanently to avoid accidents. This is done by wesnoth by default.
Also, changing the order of attacks is quite hard to do, and I don't know if it is the best idea to do it.

Hi,

found a bug. When Orcish Sovereign advances to level 5, I get the message "Unknown unit type: AdvancingOrcish Sovereign LotI". Savegame and error message are attached.

That's not a bug, it is version incompatibility. I was able to prevent it from causing crashes, but some problems still can occur. Make sure to manipulate the inventories of all Orcish Sovereigns you have before they advance, and it will not happen again.

Alternatively, you can fix the problem by activating the debug mode (type ':debug'), keeping the mouse arrow on him and typing ':unit type=Orcish Warmonger'.

Well, that is not regular way to play a game :) What do you mean by version incompatibility ? Is that because I am using 1.10.6 ?

Nope, I mean that the save file was from an older version of this add-on, and the latest version is slightly incompatible with older save files. And you happened to encounter this possible problem. A slightly edited Orcish Sovereign that was used as advancement for Orcish Warlord was replaced by Orcish Warmonger (who is more similar to Orcish Warlord), so the slightly edited Orcish Sovereign might not work properly and should transform eventually to Orcish Warmonger, but it doesn't happen simply when you load the game on a newer version (because if I added version checks everywhere, the game would run tons of useless code just to handle possible problems with updates).

I see. Thank you for explanation. I tried both your suggested workarounds. First one simply didn't work. Might be that I incorrectly understand manipulating inventory. I ungeared Orcish Warmonger and removed all Orcish warriors from recall list. I've got same result. Your second workaround helped but unit lost it's advancements (better leadership, warlord's rule, etc.). I suppose that's just the way it i so I'll go ahead with the game.

Really enjoying the campaign so far. Thanks for your sterling work.
Bit overwhelmed by ever-spawning bats & now skeletons, in the 2nd level of the lava cave where you meet the death knight.

If you want to can make an army of undead bats and crush every enemy (if you wait long enough, even the dragon can be killed by bats :D).

Err...I must have missed that, how do I do that

Dohh. Its the fairie ladies first attack, fairy touch, isn't it? Mind you, it doesn't tell you that?

I do think this level is not fun like the others. Sorry to criticize, I really do appreciate free mods and have worked hard on a few myself for other games. I think a dungeon crawl is a good idea, but constantly re-spawning enemies is not good, to be honest. I'm caught in a log-jam of enemies which re-spawn. Any bats I convert get trashed the next go. I'll have to go back to an earlier save and lose all the experience I guess.
Sorry. Having said that the campaign as a whole is great and the new features are excellent, just what I was looking for.

Your units have plague in these caves, because they studied the dark arts. You can create an army of undead bats and other stuff, that will convert even more enemies to allies through plague - and then the dragon will be easy.

Bug report: the armor lying in the place of the "Elvish Lands" label can't be picked up.

Using the latest version of the add-on (3.0.5).

According to the debugging information, there is no item on the ground. The image is there, but that is all, weirdly. Can you please explain the origin of that item? How was it dropped? Did something weird happen before you found that it cannot be picked up? Did it happen before? Do you have a save file where the item drops?

both efraim and lethalia have plague (argan not), kill enemy bats with them, protect those undead bats and make more of them and protect them too
later when you have enough bats you can let them swarm out and let them make more undead bats by themselves

I'm afraid I lost all saves before it was dropped. It was dropped due to killing an enemy unit. IIRC I moved a unit there earlier and I could pick it up, but I chose not to do so. There was also a gem on the same hex which got picked up then.

There was a similar problem occurring some time ago, I thought I had fixed it already, but it seems that it still persists. I'll have to check it again. Thanks for reply.
