Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
rly now, you are just taking it waaaaaay to easy :/ that scenario is not even hard in comparision to the next one :/
Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
Hm, okay, I'll do that.regarding unequip all after first few turns: i think he means that you cant reequip all units after the first 2 turns and if you have no items at all could be bad (maybe no keep anywhere)
i wanted to offer a solution, but dont have any, just can say that they have save files from before unequipping, and thus can reload if they do it accidentally
thats why i would like to have both options (the option of unequipping one unit a time was because i couldnt get dugi to do the whole unequip thing )

Fine, good to know this answer. I'd like a poll for it, but I can't make one.Aevyn wrote:Looks like I'm misunderstanding everything today If the chapters will be merged into 2 big campaigns, I'm all for it. Nevermind my prior post.

What spaces? The text is okay, you seem to have a displaying error.Raijer wrote:At the start of chap. 2, when you beat Umbra's döppelganger, he says "to defeat me! Lilith bla bla bla"
The spaces should be removed.
I prefer the actual form. De facto, they haven't mastered them, their mastery in these powers was bestowed to them.Raijer wrote:Lethalia (or Efraim) says "they are masters of unexpected powers", grammatically correct, but IMO it doesn't sound good. I wouls prefer "they mastered unexpected powers"
I should have checked better what did that guy write. He changed the text quite nicely, but everybody makes mistakes.Raijer wrote:"In the magical mirror", when Umbra is resurrected, Deimos (a member of the council, the nightprowler) says "but you're mind", i think it should be "but your mind".

Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
I believe that he should have advanced before, but something failed, and it waited until something made him advance, and killing with disintegration could be it. The chunk of code that made him advance was checking if he has some forgotten AMLAs, and when one was found, it asked him.
Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
so i can just take that advancement without feeling guilty?
Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
Yes, that chunk of code does not give AMLAs for free.
Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
is it intended that i can spend 200 turns in Tundra to farm redeem? cos i am now in turn 78 and i did the last 30 turns nothing else to search for black undeads and discover some items and could spend now 172 turns to farm my redeem
Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
Powned through chapter 5 (easy mode FTW!!!
). Didn't think i would go through this campaign a third time (or is it fourth?), but anyway. As always, sone typos, some bugs...
Chapter 3: in "Chasing dragons", pushing the buttons again (after freeing the warriors) triggers the dialog again.
Chapter 4: in "the firs blow", the assassin leader talks 2 times in a row (might be a bug of a dialog not appearing).
Chapter 5: in "we walk in the shadows", Efraim says "it was so obvious she has a teleportation spell prepared", should be "she had" and "ready", not "prepared". Also, he says "not powerful spell", you forgot "a".
After "we walk in the shadows"(narrator's part), "after the escape of Akula" should be "after Akula's escape".
When you enter the dungeon, the introduction appears 2 times ("you are in an enemy territory bla bla bla", also, maybe remove the "an"?).
When Efraim dies, "I knew I we are stronger" should be "we were". Also, there are soke scenarios where Efraim says it, not the one who killed him.
Some dialogs appear again after getting out of the scenario and going back (in my case, about the undead in magic amplificator 4).
I think the sellers should stop talking when you bought all their stock.
In "Library"... Errors. Errors everywhere!!! I will most likely post a corrected version as soon as i can (meaning, when i have internet on a computer and not on my phone).
Now game problems:
Chapter 3: in "Wings of doom", when the fire dragons destroy the city, there's an image missing.
In "Bitter swamp", a strange bug with the seller, when buying something on the top left hex, a ring of deathaura appears.
Chapter 4: in "an army is born", the count stops at "1 left".
In Efraim's AMLAs, there are 2 "whirling better" that do the same thing.
In "Bloodbath", stormrider can recall himself. The recalled one's death isn't a loss condition.
There is an image missing in the female shadowalker animation.
We can recruit in "Lost in space", intended?
Chapter 5: in "secret escape tunnel", the zone to go into Akula's place is too big (5-6 lines away from the map's limit).
Manta's sharp sword transforms into a dragon claw when unequipping.
Efraim's fury attack does not change of attack type like the sword attack (in my case, i've got a dark sword of destruction which should set the damage to cold, but only the sword is).
I finally understood why some asked for a "smash all inventory" button... In the last scenario, i wanted to test one of the crafted armors, but needed a saphire and a black pearl... And didn't get any after smashing my whole inventory one by one. Anyway, that function would be nice (maybe make it appear only on the last scenario?).
Just a random thought, maybe you should use the lvl 4 sovereign even when the orcs are the enemies.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
This is what I am doing as well. Redeem is so slow to get advancements =( I found the exit at turn 30 or so, put all my units there other than Lethalia and Efraim with two +16 healing Celestial Messengers to survive snow storms, and have spent so far 200 turns running around redeeming things. It's incredibly boring, but I see no other way to ever get this entropic storm that I really want to try out! I've taken nothing except for advancements towards that ability for Lethalia since the beginning of the campaign, and I'm still at least one redeem level away =(Konrad2 wrote:is it intended that i can spend 200 turns in Tundra to farm redeem? cos i am now in turn 78 and i did the last 30 turns nothing else to search for black undeads and discover some items and could spend now 172 turns to farm my redeem
It's really frustrating, they're up in the ballpark of requiring 2500 XP to level now, yet I've only gotten maybe 8 of the special abilities. I would far prefer to be able to use them to try redeeming most of the time, and leave the level ups until I have an AMLA worth taking!
I think this could use some balancing out to make a bit more fun. A lot of the redeem abilities are just not that useful (lightning in particular with 30-1 swarm does nothing without the unit at full health), and aren't that interesting compared to just entropy.
Anyway, the suggestions I'd have are:
1. Making the hit probability for redeem 100% and then making the success only depend on the level of the unit defending.
2. Making it take fewer turns to recharge as the level of redeem goes up. When you only need 6 redeems to advance, it's fine to take 3 turns to recharge. But when you need 28? Now it's 84 turns to advance. That's just tedious and forces me to farm units with my leaders instead of following the plot naturally in order to get anywhere.
Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
It was only intended to prevent you from redeeming endlessly, giving you enough time, without forcing you to hurry. It might still be ridiculously much time, so I am decreasing it to 150.Konrad2 wrote:is it intended that i can spend 200 turns in Tundra to farm redeem? cos i am now in turn 78 and i did the last 30 turns nothing else to search for black undeads and discover some items and could spend now 172 turns to farm my redeem
@Raijer
Fixed.Chapter 3: in "Chasing dragons", pushing the buttons again (after freeing the warriors) triggers the dialog again.
There was supposed to be another orc speaking, but the dialogue part was not assigned to anything. Fixed.Chapter 4: in "the firs blow", the assassin leader talks 2 times in a row (might be a bug of a dialog not appearing).
Fixed.in "we walk in the shadows", Efraim says "it was so obvious she has a teleportation spell prepared", should be "she had" and "ready", not "prepared". Also, he says "not powerful spell", you forgot "a".
Both versions should be correct. After "we walk in the shadows"(narrator's part), "after the escape of Akula" should be "after Akula's escape".
Strange error. Shouldn't be possible. Do you have a save file that isn't outdated? When you enter the dungeon, the introduction appears 2 times ("you are in an enemy territory bla bla bla", also, maybe remove the "an"?).
Fixed the first. It does not seem possible that Efraim tells that on death. The code is the same in all scenarios. When Efraim dies, "I knew I we are stronger" should be "we were". Also, there are soke scenarios where Efraim says it, not the one who killed him.
They disappear only if you complete the objective of the scenario (if there is none, they disappear when you entry). Some dialogs appear again after getting out of the scenario and going back (in my case, about the undead in magic amplificator 4).
Hm, that would make the code much uglier, but looks doable.I think the sellers should stop talking when you bought all their stock.
Eh... found some...In "Library"... Errors. Errors everywhere!!! I will most likely post a corrected version as soon as i can (meaning, when i have internet on a computer and not on my phone).
Not so easy to reproduce for me, all my save files from that time are outdated, can you please post one, or open wesnoth through Terminal (it exists on mac afaik, something like Windows command line), load the scenario and click till the erroneous image appears and post the error message written in the command line (should be a line of the kind missing image scenery/village-burned-something.png)? It looks like something made for wesnoth 1.8 and not ported properly. Afaik, it can also appear just due to bad luck.Chapter 3: in "Wings of doom", when the fire dragons destroy the city, there's an image missing.
No idea, can you post the save file where it can be reproduced? It does not seem to be related to that particular seller, but rather to something else that was just triggered by him.In "Bitter swamp", a strange bug with the seller, when buying something on the top left hex, a ring of deathaura appears.
Fixed.in "an army is born", the count stops at "1 left".
Fixed. In Efraim's AMLAs, there are 2 "whirling better" that do the same thing.
It was an error created when fixing another problem with Stormrider. Hope I fixed it this time.In "Bloodbath", stormrider can recall himself. The recalled one's death isn't a loss condition.
Fixed. There is an image missing in the female shadowalker animation.
Yes.We can recruit in "Lost in space", intended?
Fixed.in "secret escape tunnel", the zone to go into Akula's place is too big (5-6 lines away from the map's limit).
The old name for Dragon Claw was sharp sword. The item she had was really outdated.Manta's sharp sword transforms into a dragon claw when unequipping.
Reading the code, it seems to be intentionally set to be always blade.Efraim's fury attack does not change of attack type like the sword attack (in my case, i've got a dark sword of destruction which should set the damage to cold, but only the sword is).
Hm, I used him also as enemy, but maybe I forgot somewhere. Where?Just a random thought, maybe you should use the lvl 4 sovereign even when the orcs are the enemies.
Not uploaded anything, all the changes so far were quite petty.
@Neltnerb
The 3 turns' pause for redeem is there for a good reason. Look like 70 pages back in this topic to see why. With the particle storm, wait for chapter 9, it won't be much useful in chapter 8 and you won't get it in chapter 7. I might solve one of your problems by making their experience needed to advance start at a higher value and increase less quickly.
Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
About "Library", that might not be that bad, but still bad enough for me to stop searching after 4 lines (might also be that i'm a little perfectionnist on that point).
About save files, i simply can't currently (i dunno if my phone would understand how to send files lol). I will most likely join them all in my next post, in 2-3 days. Also, while i played the last chapters only on normal, i never really felt the need to have spiritual transformation/particle storm (though the animation is really cool). I always tend to prefer exp to mass kill, so splash attacks aren't really my thing. I usually just upgrade the basic attacks and one "attack only", so i can one-shot kill on defense most of the time, and always on offense.
So, i don't really think redeem needs to be changed, it's good that way.

2) reported this bug too, when I was killed by an enemy leader it happened to me (maybe it is related to the enemy unit and not the scenario?)
just writing that to make clear that those bugs cant be Raijer´s fault or are random bugs but that there are others who have those bugs too
EDIT: typo in "Subterranean War" at beginning the leader dwarf says: "...Out king was killed...."
1) reported that bug some time ago (maybe a month?) and you said that you fixed it, also the second dialog was incompleteRaijer wrote: Chapter 5:

Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
Here are the save files,
This one is about an ancient bug where Lethalia and Efraim get their AMLA in the same turn (enemy turn), and only Lethalia gets it. Just ending the turn should be enough. Seems like in "Soldiers' quarters", Efraim says his own death dialog when he's killed by the enemy leader. You will need to use a bit of debug to recreate the situation, but it happened without. Joining a save file.
About Efraim's fury, it seems strange to me that it is affected by the damage changes, but not the type changes (also annoys me because it would nearly double his damage against those enemies...).
About the lvl 4 sovereign, it was my mistake, the orc leader was my ally (but still would be good to use him). It was in "Into the shadows".
In "Bitter swamp", moving to 22,4 and buying any item will make a ring of deathaura appear, though it appears only the first time. Joining the save file.
About "Library", wondering if you mean Argazars as a country or as individual people (in my correction, i take it as people). Same thing for shaxtals. Here's the corrected version:

Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
Efraim gets it in the following turn. I have fixed the issue, this seems to be something else. Somewhat a strange bug, it marks all units correctly, but then it fails to find both units with that mark...This one is about an ancient bug where Lethalia and Efraim get their AMLA in the same turn (enemy turn), and only Lethalia gets it. Just ending the turn should be enough.
What was essential is that the soul eater count displayed above Efraim, making it appear like if he killed himself. Then I checked that if a unit is killed by tentacles when attacking an enemy boss, it assumes that he kills himself, so I corrected that.Seems like in "Soldiers' quarters", Efraim says his own death dialog when he's killed by the enemy leader. You will need to use a bit of debug to recreate the situation, but it happened without. Joining a save file.
I don't know exactly why I did that (actually, the type changes, but then it's changed back), I believe I had a reason for it, but I can't remember, because it was like a year ago.About Efraim's fury, it seems strange to me that it is affected by the damage changes, but not the type changes (also annoys me because it would nearly double his damage against those enemies...).
Yeah, changed him to the level 4 Orcish Sovereign. Forgot about him.About the lvl 4 sovereign, it was my mistake, the orc leader was my ally (but still would be good to use him). It was in "Into the shadows".
As I said, there was a ghost item. I found a bug in the code causing unpicked items to remain as ghost items that can be picked if picking up an item on that particular hex. Fixed it.In "Bitter swamp", moving to 22,4 and buying any item will make a ring of deathaura appear, though it appears only the first time. Joining the save file.
Fixed the Wings of Doom missing image problem.
Fixed the Entrance problem (the problem was that I wrote <b>units' upkeep is disabled</i>, and the game totally screwed up, failed to load the message, and displayed the last thing that was in the message variable, that was the previous message).
Used your correction of the Library texts, with some small corrections.
Re: Legend of the Invincibles (now complete)
I installed this campaign yesterday and I can't get enough of it
Story is very good(well I'm still in first chapter just a little while after they became undead, so it is probably a little too early for me to say that), items bring a whole new level to the game, new unit advancements are also great etc.
This campaign is better then all basic campaigns combined!
It is also great that it is still active, every time I found an addon I liked, it was already long forgotten.
But I have a little problem.
The "penetration" ability allows my unit to move one field even after they attacked, but they can't attack another enemy units(and from what is in the manual I understand the opposite, is this a bug or I'm just doing something wrong?
